Anna Munster is a media theorist and artist. She works as a senior lecturer in the School of Art History and Art Education, College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales. She has published the book "Materializing New Media: Embodiment in Information Aesthetics" (University Press of New England, 2006) and won the Australian National Digital Art Award in 2006 for her collaborative 3-channel video work with Michele Barker "Struck". Her current research interests are: crowds, power and portable media; collaborative and networked technologies and aesthetics; bio- and neurosciences, aesthetics and politics. She is working on an Australian Research Council funded 4-year grant with Andrew Murphie, Adrian Mackenzie and Brian Massumi on dynamic and networked media.
